Armorial Bearings - The St. Andrew’s Society of Winnipeg

The decision by the Board of Managers of The St. Andrew’s Society of Winnipeg to apply to the Chief Herald of Canada for a Grant of Armorial Bearings was taken at the Board meeting on April 11, 2006, upon a recommendation from the Communications Committee and Executive Operations Committee. Following a lengthy design process involving extensive historical and other consultations, a final design was completed and the Armorial Bearings were formally granted on November 20, 2009. The official Letters Patent and Painting were presented to the Board at its meeting in June 2010. The St. Andrew’s Society of Winnipeg Coat of Arms Design Committee referred to in the Symbolism document was comprised of the following members:
